Knowing this, we are excited to share with you 10 free or cheap outing ideas to invite your loved ones to! These are just a few things our team has tried and loved. Comment other ideas you have below!

1. Bracelet Making in the Park

Bring a big blanket to sit on, embroidery thread and beads to a park, and enjoy the pastime of making friendship bracelets.

2. Movie Night Under the Stars

Set up a projector in the backyard and watch a classic movie with popcorn and blankets. An outdoor movie night adds such a magical touch to a simple gathering.

3. Bible Study Get-Together

Our favorite places to get bible study materials from are The Daily Grace Co. or Hosanna Revival. Gather a small group of friends around one of their simple and affordable bible studies and take turns hosting at each others' homes.

4. Craft Evening

Have everyone bring a simple craft that they enjoy doing - they'll need to bring enough supplies for everyone - then each person takes turns teaching the group how to do their craft.

5. S'mores Bar & Bonfire

For this one you'll need quite a few things, but it's so worth it! Marshmallows, graham crackers, Hershey's chocolate bars, Reese's peanut butter cups, Kit Kat bars... and honestly, whatever toppings you think would be fun to try on a s'more!

6. Potluck Brunch

Potlucks are so fun and easy. Invite people over to your home or back yard, and ask them each to bring a dish to share!

7. Host a Sabbath Day

Encourage rest for your loved ones by having them over for a day of rest. This may sound like a big task to host people an entire day, but the beauty is that it's a day of rest for you, too. Have everyone come over to simply be. Play games, snack, nap, read books... whatever "rest" means for you.

8. Walking Tour

Go for a walk in the historical district of your town and learn about all that happened to make your town so great!

9. Scavenger Hunt

Amazon has oodles of done-for-you scavenger hunt games to choose from. Keep a few of these on hand for impromptu hunts with your family and friends.

10. Farmers' Market Visit

Visit a local farmers' market together and see what food and goods are being made right in your back yard!

These simple, yet meaningful events and outings can create memorable moments that bring you closer to your loved ones. So, gather your family and friends and make the most of these precious moments together {and comment below with any other simple and affordable outing ideas you have for other readers to try}!
